Paying for a car rental with crypto is fast and simple, but like any crypto transfer it rewards a little care. This guide walks you through the process, from choosing a coin to finding your transaction ID, and explains how to avoid the mistakes we see most often.
Step 1: choose your car, dates and payment
Pick your car, your pick-up and return dates and where we should deliver it. You will see the total price in euros with any multi-day discount applied. Then choose what to pay now: the booking deposit (30 % of the total, minimum €200) or the full amount, which saves an extra 5 %.
Step 2: choose a coin and network
We accept more than 20 coins and networks. Which one to choose?
- Stablecoins such as USDT and USDC are the simplest: their value is tied to the dollar, so there are no surprises.
- Fast, low-fee networks like TRON, Solana, XRP, Litecoin and TON usually confirm quickly and cheaply.
- Bitcoin and Ethereum are perfectly fine, but network fees and confirmation times can rise when the network is busy.
The most important rule: the network you send on must match the network you selected at checkout. USDT on TRON (TRC-20) and USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20) are not interchangeable. If you are sending from an exchange, choose the same network in the withdrawal screen.
Step 3: copy the exact amount and address
The checkout shows the exact amount in your chosen coin, calculated from the euro price, and a receiving address. The amount is locked for 30 minutes. Copy the address using the copy button or scan the QR code — never type it by hand — and check the first and last few characters after pasting.
If a memo, tag or comment is shown (common with XRP and TON, for example), include it exactly. Without it, your payment may not be matched automatically.
Step 4: send exactly the amount shown
Send the exact amount. If you withdraw from an exchange, check whether it deducts the withdrawal fee from the amount you enter: the amount that arrives must match the amount shown. If necessary, add the fee on top. Sending slightly less means the payment may not be matched automatically.
Step 5: confirmation
Once your transaction is broadcast, our system detects it on the blockchain. Depending on the network, it can take seconds (Solana, TRON, XRP, TON) or a little longer (Bitcoin, Ethereum when busy). Once confirmed, your payment is applied to the booking, and we confirm the car on WhatsApp within one hour.
What is a TXID and where do I find it?
A TXID (transaction ID or hash) is the unique identifier of your transfer on the blockchain. You can find it in your wallet's transaction history, or in your exchange's withdrawal history, usually labelled "TxID" or "Hash". If anything goes wrong — you sent the wrong amount, forgot a memo or the price expired — send us the TXID on WhatsApp and we can locate the payment manually.
What if the 30 minutes expire?
If the payment window expires before you send, simply start the payment again to get a new amount. If you had already sent the payment when it expired, do not worry: contact us with your TXID and we will check it manually.
Paying the balance and the security deposit
The balance is paid on delivery, and can also be paid in crypto. The refundable security deposit can be left in crypto or by card; it is returned 14–21 days after the rental, once tolls and fines are checked. See our deposit guide.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Sending on the wrong network.
- Forgetting the memo or destination tag.
- Exchange fees reducing the amount received.
- Sending after the 30-minute window without telling us.
- Typing the address by hand.
