Dubai International (DXB) is one of the busiest airports in the world, and for many visitors it is where the Dubai experience begins. Having your car waiting for you as you come out of arrivals saves time, money on taxis and the hassle of finding a rental desk. Here is how it works with FiloBlade, and what to bear in mind.
Which terminal?
DXB has three passenger terminals. Broadly speaking, Terminal 3 is used by Emirates, Terminal 1 by many other international airlines and Terminal 2 by flydubai and some regional carriers. Airline allocations can change, so check your booking. Tell us your flight number when you reserve and we will know exactly where to meet you. Delivery is free at all terminals.
How delivery at arrivals works
- When you book, choose DXB as the delivery place and add your flight number.
- Before you land, we confirm the handover details on WhatsApp: meeting point and contact person.
- After landing, message us when you are through immigration and have collected your bags. Allow time: immigration and baggage reclaim can take a while at busy times.
- At the meeting point, the delivery agent walks you to the car. You check it, sign the rental agreement, leave the refundable security deposit and pay the balance.
Flight delays
Because we have your flight number, we can follow delays and adjust the delivery time. If your flight is significantly delayed or diverted, message us on WhatsApp so we can rearrange.
Documents to have ready
Keep your passport, driving licence and International Driving Permit (if you need one) in your hand luggage. Check our licence guide before you fly to make sure your licence is valid. Minimum age is 21, or 25 for supercars.
Choosing the right car for an airport pick-up
Think about luggage. Two-seat supercars like the Huracán or F8 have very limited space — a couple of soft bags at most. If you are arriving with large suitcases, choose an SUV: the Cadillac Escalade seats seven with plenty of room, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan offers ultimate comfort after a long-haul flight, and the Range Rover Sport is a great all-rounder. Some guests take a taxi to the hotel with luggage and have the supercar delivered there instead — hotel delivery is also free.
Driving out of the airport
From DXB, the main routes into the city are well signposted. Downtown Dubai and Business Bay are relatively close; Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah are further along Sheikh Zayed Road. Use a navigation app and expect to pass Salik gates — tolls are recorded automatically and deducted from your deposit later (see our Salik guide).
Returning the car at DXB
Returning at the airport is just as easy. Agree the time with us — we recommend allowing plenty of time before your check-in closes. Meet the agent at departures, hand over the keys after a quick check and go to check-in. Return the car with the same fuel level as at delivery to avoid fuel charges.
Flying into Al Maktoum (DWC)?
If your flight lands at Dubai World Central, delivery is also free. See our DWC page for details.

Tips for a smooth airport handover
- Keep your phone charged and connected: buy a local eSIM or use airport Wi-Fi to reach us on WhatsApp after landing.
- Have the payment for the balance ready in your wallet, in crypto, before you fly.
- Photograph the car at handover, including the fuel gauge and odometer.
- If you are travelling with children, tell us in advance about child seats.
